On the 2nd of August, 2016 Blue Mountain Inn opened a new information office. The office provides tour guiding and information about local attractions found in Lesotho. It serves as a home of Lesotho’s history. The office conducts research about interesting local attractions that the world is yet to discover, and presents the information to the rest of the world. The office operates in Teyateyaneng in the district of Berea at the hotel premises.
Awareness campaigns will be used to sensitize the public about the importance of preserving indigenous tourist attractions. This problem is eminent amongst herd boys who engage in acts that compromises the nature of the environment. Herd boys will be educated to minimize negative trends such as throwing stones at tourists and begging.
With the help of the Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Culture, the office work with local experts to collect historical information and abide with international standards that provides a framework for identifying local attractions in tourism.
It gives guests an opportunity to explore places of interest in Mountain Kingdom. Targeting both local and international guests, the ultimate goal is the development of domestic tourism.
